I just went to check school closings due to weather and the app said I had to answer a survey to see the school closings. No thank you. Ill just look at Fox 2 or WDIV. Ridiculous!

New update claims you are "listening" to the people that have written such awful reviews... This "new" layout is still just as awful as the last. It is AWFUL. Boring, plain, terrible new layout, and LOADED with advertisements.

Thanks for bringing back the traffic information, now I can route myself home without getting stuck in traffic

Its still terrible compared to the original. The old format without numerous adds was 100 times better. Not worth keeping it. Will delete, again.

I will find a different channel without video.

It has crashed have not been able to use it for a few days

Love have the traffic map back. However you cant really use it because ads appears and take up Half of the map. No way to click as off.

App crashes when opening for the first time , then will work after that usually, app is hard to navigate to traffic and closing shift.

This app went from bad to unusable! I also just deleted it. They need to put someone in charge who has a clue what he or she is doing and MAYBE test before putting it out there....HELLO?

This app is very poorly organized and busy. Ill delete it.

02/26/16: 5 out of 6 headlines about the Oscars? With all thats going on in Michigan, THIS is the bulk of your journalistic prowess? Very disappointed. This app used to be great. After their update, I have switched to the FOX 2 Detroit News app. The headlines were better viewed in list format as they were before. Too many adds within the content. I understand the need for advertisement, but it shouldnt disrupt content. I dont enjoy scrolling past Wallside Windows when trying to keep up with my city. Most stories direct you to the video player which is inconvenient on the go. Type the story and post it. I agree with other reviewers: go back to the previous format!

For the iPhone app, the developers must have looked at the other local broadcasters app, as horrible as it is, and liked it. The latest update is a slight improvement. Stating they reduced the size of the tiles. Fully missing that a great reduction would be the white space at the bottom of the tile that shows category as well as the forward/share icon. Who in their right mind would forward/share an article without reading it first? Move those to the inside of the article!!! The first of the bad updates took a useful app that you could quickly scroll down and look at news summaries and select what you want more of. Now it downloads links to video, photo, share links for one article in the space of 4.... Just try it once on a rural data connection and you will hate this app and wonder how much of a DATA HOG it has become. Good thing they did not change the iPad app. Otherwise, I would delete the app This used to be my goto app for news in the D. Looks like I will go back to using newsprint app... Sorry guys, you blew this one.

This is the worst news ap ever made. The pages are covered with advertisements, headlines that lead nowhere, pop up ads that redirect you and waist your time. It is designed like a really cheap porn site. Dont bother downloading this ap, I know there must be better ones out there that really deliver the important local news. Channel 7, shame on you.

I am not impressed at all by the new improved app. Anytime I try to click on preference the app closes and now it wont open at all. I have deleted and downloaded the app more times than I can count and still not fixed. This makes me mad because I like the news channel and they really need to fix it. I also dont like how I have to scroll through all the ads and stories to find one . There should be a list to pick from. Also I hate how when I get a notification of a story and when I click it I can never find it. Very dissatisfied

I preferred older versions of this app. I wish you could "follow" a story for updates or "search" for a story. As it is, you have to scroll and scroll to find what you are looking for.

This is not the news app you are looking for, move along.

If you download this app, watch where you swipe with your finger because you WILL accidentally touch one of the countless, giant-sized ads, which begins a time-wasting process of launching Safari, you getting the ad page to stop loading, closing that tab in Safari so it doesnt keep loading every time, closing Safari, and switching back to read your news stories. Also, there are lots of spelling and grammatical errors in news reports, which makes me question credibility and competency to write and present news stories. Unprofessional, but thats the landscape of all news media web content these days.

Works really well and always gives me the latest updates along with school closings and sport scores, thanks and keep up the good work!

Finally turned them off. Way too many!!! About 30% are actual "news". Settle down.
